Either way, they maintain an image of peaceful domestication, and, in my eyes, are associated with living the slow life. They have a light-hearted and entertaining personality, that causes their viewers to look around and appreciate the world around them.
I aim for my designs to capture the quaint and fanciful appearance of the chicken, as well as its charming personality.
Chickens have such a unique relationship with humans - particularly the domestication of chickens and how they cohabitate with humans, providing food every other day, fertiliser, and entertainment among other things. They have a whimsical appearance - that, depending on the breed, can be scruffy and fluffy looking, or sleek and ornamental.
